The primary responsibility of this position is to successfully implement full integration of health and behavioral health initiatives throughout NAC. The Senior Director of Integrated Health will prioritize services for the Native American/Alaska Native population and oversees the centralized Intake/Assessment process, Outpatient treatment services and the Integrated Clinic. This individual will be responsible for program development, business development, clinical supervision/oversight as well as driving quality of care and performance measures. The Senior Director of Integrated Health will or has developed successful working relationships with regulatory, partnering and referring agencies such as Indian Health Services and all Az Medicaid health plans.
- In collaboration with the executive team, plays a key role in the overall development, strategic planning, service delivery and management of the organization.
- Oversight of the Outpatient department including centralized Intake/assessment process, authorizations and residential admissions.
- Evaluates current work flows for all areas of program to ensure maximum efficiency and billable opportunities as well as ease of access to services for all but especially for priority populations.
- Collaborates with the Finance/Billing department on authorizations, contracts and budget management.
- Oversees the implementation and full day to day operations of the Integrated Clinic including administrative supervision of staff.
- Oversees quality management/medical records; staff training and development as it relates to integrated health services.
- Represents NAC and acts as liaison to Phoenix Area Indian Health Services regarding UIO status.
- Represents NAC at the local, tribal and federal level by attending networking and educational opportunities and promoting the positive reputation of the organization.
- Oversees grant funded clinical initiatives and ensures quality delivery of services, appropriate and timely reporting.
- Assists in NAC marketing activities to ensure capacity is met and expanded.
- Facilitates agency-wide communication and update on Pandemic Planning and Services.
- Deploy resources efficiently and effectively toward organizational goals, working with staff to recruit and retain staff, balance workload and effort, and provide ongoing feedback so that staff can continuously improve their supervision and mentoring skills.
- Collaborates with Clinical Directors to review agency-wide clinical training initiatives to identify opportunities for improving outcomes in clinical effectiveness, clinical practice and standards and enhancing quality and safety outcomes.
- Provides administrative and clinical leadership to directors and supervisors to support and develop the provision of services, to deliver high-value, culturally relevant and quality care that is financially feasible and sustainable.
- Completes regular internal and external reporting for the Board of Directors, contracts, regulatory compliance, and risk management as needed.
- As needed, provides supervision and management of other clinical or administrative departments or operations.
- Support and actively engage in practices of inclusion through Cultural and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) Standards.

- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field
- WORK EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIREMENT:
- MS Office proficiency
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively with a wide range of people, teams, managers, supervisors, and vendors.
- Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Experience in working with the Native American population preferred
- Must demonstrate critical thinking, problem- solving and organizational and time management skills.
- Must be able to work well with others in a team approach.
- Requires strong managerial and leadership skills.
- Five years of progressive experience in the delivery, supervision and management of behavioral health or medical services in State Licensed Health Care Agencies.
- Licensed by the State of Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners, Board of Psychology or other applicable State Licensing body preferred
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of Local, State and Federal standards / regulations, with an emphasis in the delivery of managed Medicaid services in Arizona.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge in the principles of Quality Management.
- Knowledge of the cultural, social and economic background of the target Native American population.
- Able to sit, stand walk with/ without accommodations.
